All of the Bayyari Bears
gather together once each month to review the past
month's character words and to
introduce the current month's
words. The Bear Bash assemblies include skits,
singing of the school song,
spirit competition between
grade levels, and performances by the drum line, stomp group, and break dancers.
Throughout the month, teachers nominate students who
show outstanding character and at the Bear Bash names
are drawn from the
"character can" and prizes
are awarded to the individual students. Classroom
awards are also given for good
behavior from the
Library/Media Center, P.E., Computer Lab,
Music, Art, and the custodians.
